The Richard’s-DAR House Museum is an 1860 Italianate townhouse that is not handicapped equipped.
Tickets may be used for any of the three days.
Tickets will also be available at the door.
Daily Tours:
You will enjoy a tour of our 1860 Italianate townhouse decorated for a Gilded Age Christmas celebration. You are greeted in the foyer by a 12-foot tree adorned in gold and glitter. As you move to the dining room a resin gingerbread replica of the Richard’s house will be displayed along with the dining room set with period china and silver for an elegant Christmas dinner. Don’t miss the bedrooms upstairs each with special decorations. Children will not be disappointed; Mrs. Santa has activities for them. Shopping in Caroline’s Closet is a must. Refreshments will be served on the courtyard.
A Gilded Age Christmas: The Golden Gala
Step through the doors of the Richards-DAR House Museum and into a Christmas evening inspired by the elegance and extravagance of the Gilded Age.
For one night only, the historic Richards home will be transformed for The Golden Gala, an intimate holiday experience filled with period-inspired Christmas décor, candlelit rooms, music, and the warm glow of a Victorian Christmas.
Guests will enjoy wine and bubbly service, elegant hors d’oeuvres, carriage rides, special gingerbread surprises, and the opportunity to explore the beautifully decorated museum after hours. Wander from room to room, linger over the details, raise a glass with friends, and experience the house in a way that a daytime tour simply cannot offer.
Your Golden Gala ticket also includes an added benefit: unlimited admission to A Gilded Age Christmas Tours, December 4–6, for the ticket holder and one guest. Come back during the weekend to see the decorations in daylight, take your time exploring the house, and share the experience with someone special.
