The concept calls for a wider planting strip and wider separation between parked cars and bikes. It also gets bike out of the gutter by having the lanes at the same grade as the planting strip and sidewalks. The slightly more narrow turn lane will serve to slow down traffic naturally, so that the pedestrian and bike environment is improved.
